About
Jeffersonville
AnimalShelter
The Jeffersonville Animal Shelter is owned and operated by the City of Jeffersonville and proudly serves the residents of Clark County. While there are several animal control departments throughout the county, all strays from these municipalities come to our shelter. Jeffersonville Animal Control is the exclusive department that operates out of our facility. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers is committed to the welfare of animals and the well-being of our community, striving to find loving homes and ensuring a brighter future for both pets and their human companions.

I️ got my girl Phoebe from Jeffersonville Animal Shelter in August. She’s my best buddy and she’s asleep on my lap right now. Best dog I️ could have ever asked for. Jeffersonville Animal Shelter did an excellent job making sure that Phoebe was going to a good home; we even had a meet and greet with our other dog, Roscoe to make sure they would get along. They’re best friends and cuddle all the time. I’m so thankful for my sweet girl!
We adopted a 6 mo old kitten this week and Pearl at the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter was so helpful. We had looked other places and the people were not helpful and made us wait a long time to see a pet. We told Pearl what we wanted and she directed us to Greta and said she is the sweetest little cat. We held her and said yes we want her. We could not be more pleased. She has adjusted so well to our home. The place was clean and well run and seemed busy with people coming in while we were there. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a pet.
